The Oetztal offers uncountable leisure activities for your skiing and winter vacation. The area is famous for its winter sports activities: the skiing resorts in Soelden, Obergurgl and Hochgurgl, Oetz, Vent, Niederthai, Gries and Kuehtai hold perfect conditions for skiing, ski touring, free skiing and snowboarding. Around the villages one also finds many traditional huts and alpine inns.

There are special tracks with wayside inns partly offering food and drink from own produce for tobogganing excursions and even lighted tracks for your toboggan run in the dark.
The Oetztal is a great area for cross country skiing in Austria, Tirol. The tracks around the valley are groomed regularly.
