Another cultural venue in Oetztal is the Oetzi village in Umhausen. Different finds, which are older than 4000 years are displayed here and one can imagine life back then very well.
In 1991, the glacier mummy Oetzi was found in a glacier in Oetztal, since then it is an important archeological figurehead for Oetztal.
The Oetzi village is one of the best excursion venues for the entire family. There is different classes for young and ole, from how to build a bow to the survival trainer instruction. A visit in the Oetzi Village can be combined perfectly with a visit of the Stuibenfall, the biggest waterfall in Tyrol. These two cultural venues are located very near each other.
