The Nature Park Ötztal was founded on September 19, 2006 and is considered the roof organization of all protected areas in Ötztal.

With an area of 510 km2, this is the second largest nature park in Tyrol and the third largest in Austria. he 67 glaciers reach a total surface area of an incredible 95 km2.
Moreover we have the highest waterfall in Tyrol, the Stuibenfall in Umhausen. Our nature park sports 100km of alpine trails with 6 different theme trails, 152 mountains that are higher than 3000 meters and also 48 huts and alps.
