Discover the pleasures of hiking - enjoy exercising in scenic surroundings, discover your love for nature, find peace and quiet...
When the Alpine Rose are in full blossom (mid/end June) the hills are ablaze with different shades of red.
DREI-SEEN-BAHN quadruple chairlift operates daily from early July to early October from 9am - 4.30pm
Take a healthy breath at 2000m above sea level!
Sun, clean air and relaxation. Clear mountain spring water, excellent food, hiking, mountain biking, Kneipp treatments, and a pollen-free environment
A vacation in high Alpine regions can bring relief to many diseases, especially with high or low blood pressure, diseases of the respiratory system, insomnia, stress, blood circulation problems, asthma and various kinds of allergies.
Kuehtai doesn’t merely give you a guarantee of snow until far into the spring, also the various possibilities on the wonderful white stuff are countless. Why not make a ski tour in the morning – deep into the mountains – and in the afternoon take advantage of the superbly prepared pistes or do a bit of snowboarding? If you don’t feel like putting on your skis, go for a stroll along the snow-cleared hiking trails. Whoever seeks an alternative on the narrow sticks, can head out onto the cross-country trails.
Pistes, cross-country trails and wide open terrain...
Have you ever tried traipsing out into open terrain on a snowshoe hike, far away from all the lifts? Our ski schools also have snowshoe tours on offer. The well-trained instructors will show you all the techniques of moving on the snow – adapted to every level of ability and every age: alpine-classic skiing, carving, touring, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, etc. With charm and lots of experience, Kühtai’s ski schools will be happy to hand on their knowledge to you.
It is rare that skiing pleasures lie as nearby as in the Kühtai: when you are here, all the packing and unpacking of skis drops away, because the piste begins right at your front door. There are a total of 40 kilometers of skiing and boarding pistes in top snow-assured condition, just waiting for your arrival. Seven drag lifts, a double chairlift, three weather-protected four-seater chairlifts, e.g. the new chairlift on the Hohe Mut, and a new Magic Carpet for beginners round out the offerings.
The most beautiful thing in Kühtai is that there are no waiting times at the lifts, which is no wonder with an overall capacity of 16,000 persons per hour.
Our motto: family-friendly
Variety is the name of the game! Today, a guided hike into serenity of the mountains – Kühtai has many variations of touring possibilities (taking from one to six hours – the highest leads up to a height of 3000 meters) – tomorrow on the lifts or hiking on snow-cleared hiking trails.
Whoever prefers to ski on two “sticks” in moderate terrain might also consider cross-country skiing.
And the very best way to get to know the extraordinary beauty of the mountains in our region is probably a guided snowshoe hike. Finally, a horse-drawn sleighride in the afternoon, and then diving into the pleasures of après-ski. And the best part of it all: children are especially welcome in Kühtai, we have many specially tailored programmes just for them, from ski schools to kindergarten, all custom designed for young families. Everyone is enthusiastic about the diversity of possibilities and the careful supervision, so that both parents and little ones are happy they are here.
