In the heart of the 65 kilometer long Oetztal Laengenfeld is located in a wide basin right in the middle of lush green meadows, surrounded by the beautiful peaks of the Oetztal and Stubaital Alps. On 1200 meters above sea level you will discover picturesque landscapes and an oasis of recreation for body and mind. Laengenfeld ist the high-altitude stamina training center within the valley. 150km of signposted hiking trails, 80km of marked cycling and mountain biking paths, 114km of perfect running routes will offer you plenty of sports possibilities. And at Aqua Dome, Tirol's first year-round Thermal Spa Center, you can relax and unwind.

Laengenfeld consists of 21 „Weiler“:Oberlaengenfeld, Astlehn, Runhof, Gottsgut, Huben, Winkle, Bruggen, Aschbach, Im Brand, Burgstein, Gries, Unterlängenfeld, Dorf, Dorferau, Espan, Au, Oberried, Lehn, Lehner-Au, Unterried, Winklen. With 4000 inhabitants Laengenfeld is the biggest commune of the Oetztal.

In total you can chose from 150 km of Hiking trails, 114 km of running trails and 80 km of mountainbike trails. Picturesque churches, waterfalls, lush green forests invite you to hold on and stay, 17 huts offer hearty traditional meal. There is a certified „Nordic Fitness Parc“ in Huben. Laengenfeld – located at an altitude of 1173m and with a 110 km of signposted running trails is perfect for gentle to ambitous high altitude training. 2 amazing via ferratas and 200 routes are spread around the rocks around Laengenfeld – come, explore, enjoy.

Winter in Laengenfeld

In winter the white colour of the snow here seems unending. It is as if there was no green or any other colour that ever existed here. It is a welcome change for holiday makers from their regular daily routine into this magical landscape of white. Cross country skiers leave traces of their admiration for this scenery in 60 kilometres of trails.

The choice of trails is so enormous that it seems almost unending. Besides skiing it is ideal for winter trekking and wandering around to discover the valley. If you like to take it easy, take a horse driven coaches or take a sledge down one of our three magnificent sledge tracks.

For the passionate alpine skiers Sölden and Obergurgl-Hochgurgl are just a stones throw away. Here you can enjoy the best of both worlds. The Aqua-Dome is very famous for its warm thermals. Unwind and treat yourself to an unforgettable Kneipp wellness bath.

Among the Tyrolean mountains there spreads an Austrian Alps paradise. Laengenfeld is the community with the most inhabitants in the Oetztal, further more Laengenfeld is the community which is most often visited by tourists. The community consists of Oberlaengenfeld and Unterlaengenfeld, both near the Fischbach, Gries, Huben and further small villages and hamlets.
