The best alpine skiers start their World Cup season on the Rettenbach glacier, which rises high above the city. Traditionally, the women open on Saturday 25 October 2025 with the first giant slalom of the season. On Sunday 26 October 2025, the men take over and crown the event with their own fast run through the blue and red poles.
