Ötzi village in Umhausen
Ötzi and his world
In 1991 the glacier mummy "Ötzi" was found in the Ötztal glaciers and since then has been an important archaeological flagship for the Ötztal.
The Ötzi village is one of the best excursion destinations for the whole family. In fact, there are many different courses for old and young, from bow making courses to training as a survival trainer. The visit to the Ötzi village can also be combined with a visit to the Stuibenfall, the largest waterfall in Tyrol. Because both cultural venues are close to each other.
Another cultural site in the Ötztal is the Ötzi village in Umhausen. There, various finds older than 4,000 years BC are exhibited and you can really put yourself in the life before our time.
