As a tourist region, the Ötztal is also an attractive destination for campers. Both winter sports enthusiasts and mountain hikers or mountain bikers are attracted to this nature-blessed area of Tyrol. However, especially in winter it can often be difficult to find affordable yet comfortable accommodation. On oetztal.at we present four different campsites, which not only offer cozy and inexpensive accommodation, but also winter sports facilities directly in front of the mobile home.
Camping Ötztal Längenfeld is located in the immediate vicinity of the Sölden ski area, which you can reach in just a few minutes with a free ski shuttle. Here you can rent exclusively equipped Alpine Lodges and rental caravans in different sizes.
Ötztaler Naturcamping is also located in Längenfeld and offers you electricity and gas, hot showers, washing machines and also internet. Here, too, a free ski bus will take you to the ski area.
The camping site in the Ötztal Arena is located in Umhausen and, like Camping Sölden with its excellent sauna facilities, offers you living comfort like in a hotel.
Coziness and comfort at Camping Ötztal
However, the comfort level during camping in the Ötztal is not only of a luxurious nature. Purely practical reasons are what drive the otherwise easily satisfied campers to heated cabins with running water: The weather conditions. Because unlike usual camping sites, which close for the winter because no guests are expected anyway, the camping sites in the Ötztal remain open. After all, winter is the main season in the snow sports region. And it's hard to do without the heating.
And once the enthusiastic vacationer has arrived, there's nothing to keep him at the hut anyway. There is too much to experience when camping in the Ötztal. Directly at the campsite in Tyrol, you can either take the ski bus or the cross-country ski trail - all winter sports facilities are located directly in front of the tent entrance. Or you can take it easy with a romantic winter hike followed by a meal in the restaurant.
In summer, the deep green forests and mountainous landscapes invite you to exciting hiking and mountain bike tours as well as other outdoor activities. And a hearty hut tour in the evening is definitely part of camping in the beautiful Ötztal in every season.
